Margi is a Bulgarian fine artist whose practice bridges the boundaries between interior design, art history, and contemporary visual expression. With a background in both design and academic study, she approaches each work not only as a creative exploration but also as a dialogue with the past. Her artistic voice is shaped by a sensitivity to color, texture, and composition, as well as a fascination with the stories that art can carry across time. Her practice is deeply personal yet outward-looking, often balancing raw emotion with thoughtful structure. She draws inspiration from nature, memory, and the intersection of everyday life with the symbolic. Each piece seeks to evoke a response beyond aesthetics—a moment of reflection, recognition, or connection. Margi’s experience in art history informs her ability to reinterpret classical ideas into modern visual language, while her interior design training adds a spatial awareness that makes her works adaptable to both intimate and public settings. She believes that art should not remain silent on the wall, but should live and breathe with the viewer, becoming part of their environment and emotional landscape. Through her evolving practice, she continues to explore how art can both heal and transform.

The Abyss

by Margarita Angel

An A3 charcoal and graphite study of a woman’s face emerging from spirals of darkness. The piece captures a complex emotional state — sorrow, calmness, and acceptance intertwining in a disturbed yet beautiful expression. Created at the beginning of 2024 during a period of creative block, this piece became a turning point, helping me reconnect with my art in a way I hadn’t in months. Its subtle contrasts and expressive shadows reflect the emotional struggle I experienced, alongside the quiet, unseen support of someone deeply important in my life — a nudge that helped me find my hand and my spirit again. Originally exhibited at my atelier, the original remains with me as a reminder of resilience, vulnerability, and the delicate strength found in letting oneself feel. charcoal drawing, graphite art, expressive portrait, dark portrait, A3 sketch, contemporary portrait, emotional art, woman face art, dramatic art, moody drawing, introspective art, breakthrough art, modern sketch, fine art graphite, expressive charcoal
